Planted my “privacy” sugar snap peas fence.

pea-trellisI have a 1×10 foot fence with a five foot vertical trellis which acts as a privacy fence for my fire pit. The Sugar Snap peas easily grow the full height of the fence very quickly. So with privacy, a wind block and we can eat it added bonus.

This year I also planted Swiss chard along the front of the box – a little added functionality.

Peas and Swiss Chard are considered hardy plants, so I am not concerned about planting 3-4 weeks before the last frost. If they do die, with such a short growing time its worth the risk.
